Related to Monty of Alamein?
[edit]As Montgomery of Alamein came from a long-established Ulster family, it would be interesting to know if there is any connection. When he became famous, it was claimed that he could trace his descent back to a French nobleman called Montgomery who came over with William the Conqueror. Was Hugh Montgomery descended from that person? Valetude (talk) 12:59, 18 September 2016 (UTC)
