NFCC argument between hullaballoo and dekkipedia

[edit]

the war seems to have stopped since sarek has stepped in but i'm creating this thread for HW and dekki to discuss here, HW you argue that 3rr does not apply here with pictures but in this case I and sarek have to disagree, there is a dispute between you and dekki over the image and it needs to be solved here not by edit warring, i don't want to go near this article again so i'll be unable to help out futher (as soon as i saw the category 'porno' i was like hell no i'm not editting this!) --Lerdthenerd (talk) 13:16, 17 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]

infobox pic

[edit]

The pic is copyrighted and there is no excuse to have it in the infobox of this BLP, thanks. Off2riorob (talk) 21:04, 17 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]

As I keep saying, challenge the Non-free Use Rationale at the picture. If it's that bad, it shouldn't be on WP. If it's not worth challenging, though, there's no reason to remove it. Unless, of course, you're trying to remove the image from the article and then nominate it for deletion as a non-free image not being used in an article when nobody's actually paying attention -- but I'm sure you wouldn't do that, right? --SarekOfVulcan (talk) 21:08, 17 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Its not that it has to be removed from wikipedia its that there can be no fair use rationale to host it in the infobox of a BLP. when a free pic is possible to acquire. Off2riorob (talk) 21:16, 17 November 2010 (UTC).[reply]
Gaaah! please don't tell me this is going to the same as the image edit war in the doctor who wikiproject, i don't want to go there again, off2rio HW and dekki take to the image not here, i dont want another edit war like the one on the doctor who infobox pictures--Lerdthenerd (talk) 10:01, 18 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]
