This article not writ good
[edit]It's not entirely clear whether this subject is deserving of its own article but, if it is, it needs to be rewritten. As it currently stands it is not very encyclopedic - its grammar is subpar and its style is quite idiosyncratic and unsuitable. Furthermore, the disaggregation of Roman influence into the "three characteristic areas" appears to be OR or, at best, a personal synthesis, and is not supported by the in-line refs which relate to very specific points. 203.206.13.148 (talk) 02:54, 11 July 2010 (UTC)
- I've rewritten a lot of the sentences and corrected all the grammar and spelling problems (I think...). It should be acceptable now. It's actually a pretty good article. --Hibernian (talk) 08:21, 20 October 2010 (UTC)

Corrected nonsense
[edit]"The religious influence of the late Roman Empire involved the conversion to Christianity of many Irish people by Saint Patrick in the century when the Western Roman Empire disappeared, shows that this religious faith was already present in Hibernia before the 5th century."
I've changed by to before the arrival of, and removed the ending. Otherwise, the sentence makes no sense. Also, the were three sentences stating there had been Christianity before Palladius - now there are two.--Adûnâi (talk) 14:27, 20 August 2018 (UTC)
