Mixtape
[edit]As far as I'm concerned, the Season 1 mixtape has been adjusted to incorporate music of Season 2. Would appreciate it if someone adjusted so, or correct me if I'm wrong. GeraldWL 03:47, 9 August 2023 (UTC)
Pride parade pict
[edit]Countessluann, I'm wondering what does Joe and Kit's pride parade picture serve in the "Impact" section. Because on laptop it is squeezing the accolades table, and I don't see it being an exemplary impact of the show. GeraldWL 04:08, 10 August 2023 (UTC)
- I just removed it. I didn't realize it would throw off the table below it. Countessluann (talk) 11:56, 10 August 2023 (UTC)
Finale
[edit]Bbb23, the new plot summary of the season 2 finale I feel is too long. Per MOS:TV, "For main series articles, plot summaries of no more than 200 words per episode." The episode could be easily summarised to 200 words or more or less. Can you explain the additions, because reading them, I think there can be a much shorter alternative. GeraldWL 12:40, 11 August 2023 (UTC)
- I figured someone might object to the length, and although I thought the detail was important, I struggled when I wrote it not to make it too long. As for the word-number guideline, it's not that much longer (I get 251 words). If you have any suggestions, I'm open to them, but, meanwhile, I'll try to trim it myself given it's my doing. It is the longest of the episodes and, in some ways, the most important of the series thus far.--Bbb23 (talk) 13:00, 11 August 2023 (UTC)
- Gerald Waldo Luis, I trimmed it to 193 words. What do you think?--Bbb23 (talk) 13:08, 11 August 2023 (UTC)
- I trimmed it around 100 words further; a lot of it is just simplifying to make the summary flow the same way as the previous summaries. There were also contractions which WP restricts on. The final scene I trimmed to just "going home"; yes it is a poignant scene and in a way symbolic of their relationship climate, but to readers who do not watch the series (we can't assume people just come here for a season recap), it is no more significant than a couple taking 5 minutes to text "I love you." Per MOS:TVPLOT, "Plot sections should summarize the core storyline(s), but not offer a scene-by-scene sequence of everything that happens." Feel free to comment, though, if you found some problems. Main cast
[edit]Hi, I'm curious how the characters that are currently listed under "Main" were determined? I recently did a semi-overhaul with this area by adding a chart and removing several people who were listed in the Infobox but not in this section. I went back to check out the opening and closing moments of each episode and realized there were no opening credits to the series. In the closing credits, there are a prominent listing of several cast members (just the performers names), followed by crew members, and then every cast member underneath an "In order of appearance" header (this includes both those listed in the first set and others, it also includes the character names). Several of those in the "prominent" listing I mentioned were names that I removed from the Infobox. That said, is it safe to assume that those listed in the first set are the "main" cast members while those listed in the latter set would also include the guest and recurring characters? If I hypothetically follow this theory, the character chart/main characters should look like this and include these characters:

I struggle with this hypothetical listing for two reasons. This includes several people who were only in one episode per season and even more so who were in less than half. MOS:TVCAST says that we don't determine the main cast, the producers do, implying that it should be included as such. However, given this is an excessive listing (especially considering how long it would make the Infobox), I think we could potentially modify it to an extent. I especially see this as a viable option because I assume most other editors agree that it wouldn't be fair to compare Tamara Ustinov to the headliners or even say Darragh Hand. It's also worth noting, that some cast members are credited in the prominent listing in some episodes and with the guest cast in others. For example, Bradley Riches appears in episodes 3-8 of season 2, but is only credited with the first group in episode 6.
Given this, I would like to apply a solution close to what I did on Line of Duty in a similar, but albeit slightly different, situation. Everyone credited in the "prominent listing" is still included in the chart; however, in a slightly different format, those with less than four episodes per season are downgraded to "starring" rather than "main". This would only apply to being credited in the prominent listing. So as an example for this, Chetna Pandya is listed as "starring" in season 2 despite appearing in four episodes, because only three of those credits were also in the prominent listing. The fourth was only in the latter listing. Riches would also be downgraded to starring for season 2 based on what I explained above. That chart would like this:

If going the route of the second chart, I would suggest limiting those in the Infobox to those that we classify as "main". The second chart would also be my pick if I had to decide between the two. It should be noted that the order of both these charts follow MOS:TVCAST in that those credited in season 1, episode 1, are listed first in the order of credits, with new members added to the end of the list in the order that they appear in the prominent listing (so Georgina Rich is listed below Riches despite first appearing in an earlier episode of season 2 than him, because she was not first listed with the prominent cast until after him).
I'm open to any other suggestions if anyone has them? Either way, I'd say what exists currently needs a semi-overhaul at the bare minimum to include characters like Naomi and Felix (and probably a few others) in the main cast, even if neither of the charts are implemented, as well as organizing the Infobox, based on what I explained above.
