"first new auto racing facility to be built in the United States for 20 years"

I don't know where that claim comes from but just thinking of Midwest Division, there was Hallett Motor Racing Circuit, just up the road, that opened 23 October 1976, and Pueblo Motorsports Park which also opened in 1976. Then there was Firebird International Raceway in 1983, Memphis Motorsports Park in 1987, etc, etc. Allen Brown (talk) 17:23, 18 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]
