On April 19, 1951 Harry Keough, Ruben Mendoza, and Herman Wecke were released by Zenthoefers to Schumachers ahead of an Amateur Cup against Chicago Schwaben on April 22. The trio were vital to the teams 6-1 win. Wecke scored 2, Mendoza scored 1 and assisted on Keough's goal. They returned to Zenthoefers in time to face touring Eintracht Frankfurt on May 14.
