The result of the move request was: Moved per GiantSnowman's proposal: Hany Saïd → Hany Said (footballer, born 1980) and Hany Saïd (footballer, born 1983) → Hany Said (footballer, born 1983) with base names as dab page. — Amakuru (talk) 14:49, 15 February 2019 (UTC)
– Per WP:COMMONNAME. Those players' names are spelled Hany Said on many different sources, including Soccerway, and so the name of the articles I mentioned should be changed. Ben5218 (talk) 10:56, 29 January 2019 (UTC) --Relisting. SITH (talk) 11:45, 5 February 2019 (UTC)
- Oppose his name is Sa-yid not Sedd; we commonly use the diaeresis in English to indicate when vowels are sounded separately, as in naïve, Brontë or Saïd Business School. English does this to aid readers in pronunciation. Just because some minor html site has not done so for a minor Egyptian footballer doesn't mean we have to copy it. - Minor Egyptian footballer? Minor HTML site? I'm not sure how would you call those minors; but anyway apparently that's the way to spell it according to multiple sites. If Soccerway isn't enough, then the following websites also use that name: Transfermarkt, Egypt Today, Al Ahram and WhoScored. I'm sure that since this is the common way to spell the player's name, then this article should be moved per WP:COMMONNAME. Hopefully those are enough. Ben5218 (talk) 18:12, 30 January 2019 (UTC)
- Our article on the name is Sa‘id, which doesn't mention Saïd; it may be the usual transliteration to French but it can be spelled various ways in English and this is not the most common. However, English-language sources in this article use Said, Saïd and Saied, and without evidence that any spelling is usual or official it probably shouldn't be moved; for example the reason for the move from Hani Said(http://en.wiki.x.io/w/index.php?title=Hani_Said&action=history). Peter James (talk) 16:32, 29 January 2019 (UTC)
- Besides the sources I mentioned above, I'm pretty sure that Said is the most common way in Egypt to translate that name from Arabic to English; and I know that because I'm Egyptian. Also, there are many players with the same name and uses Said instead of anything else, including Abdallah El Said, Shawky El Said and Omar El Said. Ben5218 (talk) 18:12, 30 January 2019 (UTC)

- Move to Hany Said (footballer, born 1980) and Hany Said (footballer, born 1983) respectively, and turn Hany Said into a disambig page (yes I know about TWODABS thanks). GiantSnowman 11:30, 11 February 2019 (UTC)
- Support alternative described by GiantSnowman. Dekimasuよ! 17:23, 12 February 2019 (UTC)
- I wouldn't mind this too as long as we will use Said on both articles in the end. Ben5218 (talk) 21:41, 12 February 2019 (UTC)
