Last episode

[edit]

Even though Hank died in Ozymandias - it cannot be claimed as his last episode until the final two episodes have aired. Flashbacks and side stories occur frequently in Breaking Bad. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 82.6.36.32 (talk) 05:58, 17 September 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Past or present tense

[edit]

SPOILER ALERT FOR THE SHOW I notice ever since Hank died, some editors have been changing the article (or at least the lead) to past tense rather than present tense, and others keep changing it back, so I think we should discuss it here to stop minor edit warring. Personally, I believe it should be present tense, per WP:TENSE, which says "Works of fiction are generally considered to 'come alive' for their audience. They therefore exist in a kind of perpetual present, regardless of when the fictional action is supposed to take place relative to the reader's 'now'. Thus, generally you should write about fiction using the historical present tense, not the past tense." — Hunter Kahn 14:33, 17 September 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Is having the half the background section on Hank focusing on racism justified? Is this really the defining characteristic of the character? How about just one sentence covering this, "Hank frequently uses racist language". I think that covers it. Maybe whoever wrote the wiki ran out of things to say and was padding it out, in which case I would suggest less is more. Or on the other hand maybe it was written by Al Sharpton and who sat through the whole series thinking about what a racist Hank is. What a shame, there was quite a lot of other stuff going on.

Motion For The Deletion Of The Article

[edit]

The page is about a fictional character from a television show. It belongs on Breaking Bad Wiki, not on Wikipedia; Wikipedia should not feature articles about fictional characters from TV shows. This page should be deleted and instead, a section on Hank should exist on the Wikipedia page, List of Breaking Bad and Better Call Saul characters. There is no reason this page should exist. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Norman R MacDonald (talkcontribs) 19:33, 27 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Central antagonist removed?

[edit]

The description of Hank being a central antagonist seems to have been removed rather unceremoniously, resulting in a grammatically dubious sentence. Was Hank being an antagonist something that is up for debate? I always thought it was pretty clear he was. 2600:1012:B1CE:3271:9433:ECEE:D889:3971 (talk) 01:49, 28 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]

This was probably in response to a screenshot from the article being posted on Reddit. aggarwala2727 (talk) 04:23, 28 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Describing a character as a protagonist or antagonist when it is not necessarily clear is original research and thus should not be included. Hank may have been the one that was ultimately working against Walt, him being an antagonist is very much unclear and the removal is correct. --Masem (t) 12:46, 28 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]
