New Ticket Vending Machine

[edit]

I've added information about the new TVM and the removal of the PERTIS machines at Ham Street station. Martin H. Heron (talk) 19:56, 9 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]

How do I reference real life experience? Shall I get some photographs? Martin H. Heron (talk) 21:19, 21 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]
The thing is, Wikipedia doesn't record real-life experience: Wikipedia summarises what others have already written on the subject. If a newspaper, or railway-related magazine, has written about this type of ticket machine and has done so in connection with Ham Street station, it may be mentioned provided that it is also sourced to that periodical. --Redrose64 (talk) 13:22, 22 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]
The problem I have is that on the grand scheme of things, this TVM is a small part of the railway and I doubt it would have been written about. However, in the terms of Ham Street station, a new TVM is important. I have a photograph of the TVM, is it useless now or shall I upload it?

Edit: I have now found a link to 'Southern News', which is a Southern Railway newsletter, which briefly mentions the new TVM at Ham Street station. http://www.southernrailway.com/download/10892.7/nps-newsletter-2-east-coast Martin H. Heron (talk) 11:29, 19 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]
The TOC's own newsletter isn't an independent third-party source. --Redrose64 (talk) 13:44, 19 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]
