Resolution

[edit]

So, whats the screen resolution?

The hydra's video is completely generated in software, so it completely depends on the software driver. But as an example, a typical PAL/NTSC driver would be 256x192 in 96 colors, and a typical VGA driver would be one that generates a 800x600 display, and up to 64 colors, but much higher resolutions are also possible, certainly with the aid of the Hydra's new 512K memory expansion.Mahjongg 10:26, 12 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

So, when was it released?

The 512K ram expansion? About a month ago, see link in main article! Mahjongg 16:07, 7 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]
No, I meant the Game Developement Kit. 84.58.160.41 15:20, 15 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Ah... OK, I think it was in August 2006. Ill add that to the article. Mahjongg 15:44, 15 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Small correction, it actually wasn't finished until September 2006. Mahjongg 16:10, 15 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Naming

[edit]

The article title and intro should agree. Is this the Hydra Console, Hydra, Hydra gaming console, HYDRA, or ... ? Some of those will need (gaming console) in the title as a disambiguating phrase. -- JHunterJ 11:03, 7 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Ok, fixed, and moved page to the actual official name "HYDRA Game Development Kit" Mahjongg 16:04, 7 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

new?

[edit]

it says hyrda blah blah is the "new" (released in september 2006) blah blah blah ... that was well over a year ago, thats not new. 14:26, 2 November 2007 (UTC)

Fixed by changing "new" into "latest". Mahjongg 15:08, 2 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

[edit]

Seems to be a case of Cybersquatting to me, as this was once a valid site. Mahjongg (talk) 21:15, 15 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Yes. I have the actual development kit and supporting documentation does mention the URL. It probably expired and got snapped up by the site running adverts. Fnagaton 21:17, 15 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]
