Hello Moderator - please remove this commercial ad from wikipedia

[edit]

Hi, hidpoint is a product by a company named yodasoft. Their website does not give the company's address (which is illegal in my contry for example) and does not tell people that the software is commercial.

The source is not public. What makes a user sure that he does not install a key logger?

The license (terms and conditions) forbids reverse engineering, so if I had discovered some malware I would not be allow to tell somebody.

I am a scientist and an open source contributor. As a scientist I fear for wikipedia's reputation and as an open source author I dislike people that exploit the naive attitude of some Linux users.

So again: PLEASE REMOVE THIS ARTICLE FROM WIKIPEDIA!

Sorry, my finger slipped and I marked my edit as minor by accident. I added reference to the proprietary license to the infobox, which should help a little.

It doesn't make sense to remove the article just because it's proprietary software though. The question is is it notable? I'm not sure. It's mentioned in quite a few places online, but nothing well known and selectively edited, as far as I can see with a quick google search. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Sorsoup (talkcontribs) 15:50, 2 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

removing POV tag with no active discussion per Template:POV

[edit]

I've removed an old neutrality tag from this page that appears to have no active discussion per the instructions at Template:POV:

This template is not meant to be a permanent resident on any article. Remove this template whenever:
  1. There is consensus on the talkpage or the NPOV Noticeboard that the issue has been resolved
  2. It is not clear what the neutrality issue is, and no satisfactory explanation has been given
  3. In the absence of any discussion, or if the discussion has become dormant.

Since there's no evidence of ongoing discussion, I'm removing the tag for now. If discussion is continuing and I've failed to see it, however, please feel free to restore the template and continue to address the issues. Thanks to everybody working on this one! -- Khazar2 (talk) 13:25, 14 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]
