Specifically: Justice Garde retured as a Supreme Court justice on 30 March 2019[1], and was appointed as a reserve judge of the Supreme Court of Victoria on 1 April 2019[2] for a period of five years.
Justice Garde ceased as President of Victorian Civil and Administrative Tribunal (VCAT) on 30 May 2018, and Justice Michelle Quigley has been president of VCAT since that time [3].
Whilst President of VCAT, Justice Garde was a member of the Courts Council and the Judicial Commission of Victoria as well as the other bodies mentioned.
Justice Garde retired as Chair and as a director of Defence Health Limited in November 2019 [4].
Justice Garde's daughter is now a corporate solicitor practising in Victoria (not a barrister in Western Australia).
Justice Garde was appointed as the Chair of the Victorian Law Foundation in October 2020 [5].
