Death rumor section
[edit]I removed the Death rumors section, since it didn't contribute much to the article. Here it is in case anyone wishes to bring it back. Jonny2x4 (talk) 17:23, 11 January 2009 (UTC)
Death rumors
[edit]During the development of Metal Gear Solid: The Twin Snakes, the role of the Cyborg Ninja, was recasted to Rob Paulsen, although Eagles did reprise the role of the DARPA Chief, the other character he portrayed in the original game. This led to a report that the original voice actor for the Cyborg Ninja had passed away, which led to the recast.[1] This rumor turned out to be partly true: it was the Japanese voice actor for the Ninja, Kaneto Shiozawa, who died in 2000 rather than Eagles. Despite this, no Japanese voice acting were recorded for The Twin Snakes (the Japanese version featured English voice acting with Japanese subtitles). In an informal telephone interview with a fan conducted in 2003, Eagles stated that he was surprised to learn there were rumors of his death.[2]
