GPO Shadow Cabinet
[edit]Can someone review the current listing for Green Party of Ontario#Shadow_Cabinet and update it with the info from https://gpo.ca/shadow-cabinet/ ? 24.212.142.143 (talk) 06:48, 22 April 2018 (UTC)
- While it's true that the party has a series of spokespeople designated to articulate party policy on various issues, they're not a true "shadow cabinet" just because the party chooses to call them that — it has zero elected MPPs in the house, which gives the people no constitutional or political standing, and the media do not devote any attention to the party's positions on any issue besides the environment (and electoral reform to a much lesser extent), so these people have no public visibility for the purposes of making them notable for being party spokespeople. So it's not that the list should be updated — it doesn't belong in this article at all. Bearcat (talk) 07:20, 22 April 2018 (UTC)
This party was founded by Elizabeth May, now the leader of the Green Party of Canada.[9]
