Radio 1

[edit]

"BBC Radio 1 headquarters is also situated on Great Portland Street."

Really? It's on Portland Place isn't it?

I'm a producer at Radio 1 and can confirm that we are situated on the corner of Great Portland Street and Clipstone Street. [NB - unsigned edit!]
As stated above. Radio 1 used to be in Broadcasting House, Portland Place until the mid 90s, when it moved to the current building, Yalding House. I remember the move, because when the address for competitions and so on was given out it changed from "Radio 1, London W1A 1AA" to "London W1N 4DJ" - and I wondered (I still do!) how much the BBC had to pay the Royal Mail to get such an appropriate postcode! Anyway, disputed tag removed, since the Yalding House entry is accurate. Link to that added, too. Js farrar 00:59, 24 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]
