These maps are works in progress. Please feel free to improve or add to them; they can be moved to a template (or two) when ready. They are intended to show the line at opening; and as it was immediately prior to merger into the LNWR. Andy Mabbett 19:26, 30 May 2007 (UTC)
- I've added the ones I can think of currently in the West Midlands county. Fingerpuppet 23:31, 30 May 2007 (UTC)
- Thank you. I wonder if there won't be too many stations, to show them all? Does any one have a source for all the sattions, at opening? Andy Mabbett 06:50, 31 May 2007 (UTC)
- Try this [1]. It's not that accurate, and it lists stations that were not open in the timeframe we're looking at - such as Bushbury. It's a decent start to target research from, though. Fingerpuppet 10:14, 31 May 2007 (UTC)
Was Vauxhall the first ever railway station to close? And/ or the first to re-open? Andy Mabbett 11:32, 31 May 2007 (UTC)
- @Pigsonthewing: - The first Vauxhall station closed in 1839. There was a temporary station at Denbigh Hall which opened and closed in 1838, so no, it wasn't the first to close. I don't know about re-opening though. (Is 8½ years to answer a question a record?!) Optimist on the run (talk) 07:08, 12 October 2015 (UTC)
