Granada Cinema, Woolwich → Christ Faith Tabernacle Cathedral – Per WP:COMMONNAME. The church moved into the building in 2011 and has been holding regular services there since 2013 with their branding clearly displayed on the outside. I think most people now refer to it as the displayed name, Christ Faith Tabernacle Cathedral. In my opinion, keeping the article called Granada Cinema when it has not been a cinema for over 50 years is like if we called the article for The O2 as "Millennium Dome" as that was its original name. - Personally, I'm more in favour of keeping the current name as the main focus of the article (as well as the reason that this is a listed building) is the history and architecture of the former cinema. However, in the Survey of London, Volume 48, chapter 1, page 74-76, it is described as: 'Ebenezer Building (former Granada Cinema)'. See also this photo. Also, the nearby New Wine Church, with a similar history, is described in the same book as 'Gateway House (former Odeon Cinema)'. Kleon3 (talk) 11:28, 2 October 2021 (UTC)
- Oppose. It's only significant because it's a listed building. It's listed because of its design as a cinema and under its original name. -- Necrothesp (talk) 13:15, 6 October 2021 (UTC)
- Oppose. I think both Kleon and, particularly, Necrothesp have summed up some of the issues well. There are also other local examples of articles about former church buildings that have retained their old name years after a change of use - for example, All Saints' Parish Hall in Blackheath was sold off in 1988. - Oppose per WP:RECENTISM. It's notable as a listed building and historic cinema. We shouldn't default to the name of a church who have used the building for a small part of its history. Joseph2302 (talk) 16:25, 13 October 2021 (UTC)
