While gooning can certainly do all the things written here, many transport companies no longer do most of the practices described in this article. Furthermore, it is generally the parents who hire transportation; therapeutic programs rarely transport students anymore. I’ve interviewed several transporters and they claim that they prefer to work at night so that there’s less chance of a public spectacle that would embarrass the teen or family. Major changes need to be made to this industry, but it’s often the safest and most effective way to get a kid potentially life-saving treatment. 207.50.144.158 (talk) 19:29, 2 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]
The use of the word 'kidnapping' is misleading - it implies that you can do it to children you do not have custody over (and that you cannot do it to children you *do* have custody over). — Preceding unsigned comment added by 142.147.101.186 (talk) 19:27, 29 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]
