Talk:Glaucous macaw
January 2019
[edit]According to the IUCN Red List of Threatened Species, the Glaucous Macaw is only Critically Endangered, not extinct. I've changed the status back.
According to BirdList International it's extinct, so shouldn't that be noted somewhere? Starsandwhales (talk) 20:27, 12 January 2019 (UTC)
Numbers in Captivity
[edit]Does anyone have any knowledge if these birds still exist in zoos or aviaries? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 98.226.62.23 (talk) 02:28, 5 February 2013 (UTC)

Inaccuracies
[edit]I don't speak Guaraní, but I'm pretty sure the word 'oby' means 'blue/green', rendering the sentence in the lede false. Also the 1993 study by Yamashita & de Paula Valle which says the birds eat the nuts of Butia yatay were actually using nuts of B. paraguayensis, judging from where they got them from -in 1993, most people considered these species synonyms. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 86.83.56.115 (talk) 14:15, 3 October 2018 (UTC)
