a lot of weaselly words. i did edits, but i'm not sure if message boards are the best source of material. plus, from BoB, the cow incident took place in England, not at Camp Toccoa --71.112.183.85 07:52, 13 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Almost-adopted child

[edit]

If anyone has any information on the child Luz "nearly adopted" during the War, could you please post it here or add it to the article yourself? I've been told it's really touching, and would be a testament to Georgey's character. --Martorius 06:45, 2 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Tone

[edit]

I've noticed that many articles concerning members of Easy Company 506th during WWII is written in a tone as if a fan of the movie Band of Brothers wrote it. There is too much superfluous congratulatory remarks in the bios and need to be change to a neutral point of view. --† Ðy§ep§ion † Speak your mind 07:50, 21 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Quite so. However, considering the fellow's personal service to his country and his fellows, would it be such a sad thing that what encyclopedia readers 100 years hence discover about this not important but now illuminated man was that he was able to make fun of himself and his fellows? I hope history renders me so worthy a judgement. I'll take a whack at copy-editing this. BusterD 03:00, 16 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Contradiction?

[edit]

The list of awards in the article says Mr. Luz received includes the purple heart. Yet further down the in the article it says he was the only soldier in Easy Company to be unhurt in the war. It is my understanding that purple hearts are given to soldiers wounded in battle. Can anyone shed some light on this? Deyyaz [ Talk | Contribs ] 13:58, 29 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Job description

[edit]

The article states: "it was wrongly stated that after the war George became a handyman. His son revealed that he had worked as a maintenance consultant"

First of all; what is the difference between a handyman and a maintenance consultant? Second; was it a secret that he was a maintenance consultant since his son "reveals" it.--Nwinther (talk) 00:23, 9 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Photo?

[edit]

I don't know about anyone else, although the photo used on this page isn't the best I think. I am personally thinking this one would be better.

I personally do not know how to add it to the page, so if someone else could, we'll be all set. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 142.167.214.147 (talk) 19:43, 18 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Pronunciation

[edit]

What is the correct phonetic pronunciation? Luze? Lutz? Luce? (i'm leaving a note here, because i don't know the proper way to add to this. i am related to george luz, his sister is my grandmother. the correct pronunciation rhymes with rouge!)
