Unprotection
[edit]I was actually doing a radio interview with George Hook and he was surprised it was locked, so I unlocked it live on air at his request. We'll see how it looks tomorrow ;-) - David Gerard 16:58, 22 August 2006 (UTC)
- Holding up pretty well. Please leave this article unlocked, so we can see what happens - David Gerard 10:15, 25 August 2006 (UTC)
Career update
[edit]There are no citations for the facts claimed over several months, so removed as POV including
experienced record growth figures[citation needed], Hook's JNLR[citation needed] ratings, been lampooned[citation needed] as Hook Chi Min, broader political spectrum[citation needed]

Rugby career
[edit]I'm presuming the hooky monster (sorry spin1038...) actually played rugby at some stage, but I'm too young to remember that era, and I can't find anything on line. A friend of mine claims he played for Connacht, which I'd find a bit strange... --85.134.141.187 03:30, 2 September 2007 (UTC)
He coached connaught. Played for London Irish as well as a couple of Dublin clubs, including St Marys Fearrugbai (talk) 13:35, 29 April 2009 (UTC)
Lots of details wrong per subject
[edit]I just did another Wikipedia interview on his show yesterday. He flagged lots of details wrong with his article, though he remains a big fan of Wikipedia :-) There must be an editor who has his book at least ... please go through treating every fact as "citation needed" - David Gerard (talk) 08:59, 3 July 2008 (UTC)
Chatting up Gráinne Seoige
[edit]Did any of you see Hook chatting up the gorgeous Gráinne on The Panel? RTÉ showed a repeat of it last week and it was the funniest scene I've seen on TV, with Dara Ó Briain holding the most hilarious face as this went on across the table in front of him. It was made all the funnier by the bold George doing it in the Irish! Great television. 86.42.119.12 (talk) 12:19, 31 August 2008 (UTC)
I've always had a sneaking desire to wear a dress

The day I stop finding women attractive is the day you'll find George Hook in Flanagans' undertakers!

It's a good briefer, however I think we could discuss this person in more detail than he is currently. Granted, I know little about the subject, as a Canadian, but anyway, it's a good start. -- Zanimum 19:16, 22 August 2006 (UTC) |
