this page states that the mountains are a result of both the caledonian foldings and alpine orogeny... make up your minds... —Preceding unsigned comment added by 87.210.35.24 (talk) 00:28, 5 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Is Limerick "inland"?

[edit]

I'm not sure that it is; the Shannon meets the sea at a Limerick/Clare estuary. The term 'inland' is, I think, too nebulous to be used here.

re-direct and merge with Galty Mountain

[edit]

I am proposing that we merge this article with Galty Mountain, as per Purple Mountain and Brandon Mountain. The article will cover the main Galty peak but also the Galty range and list all the peaks in the range. Avoids duplication and stuff going out of date (more chance of a single bigger article being kept, than many disparate ones). For big ranges, i.e. MacGillycuddy's Reeks, there is still a separate article for the range and the individual mountains, which makes sense. Britishfinance (talk) 18:44, 30 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]
