Move reverted.

[edit]

I have reverted the undiscussed move of this page per WP:BRD, WP:TWODABS, and the instructions at WP:RM. There is only one entity with coverage in the encyclopedia named "Freedom Records". bd2412 T 14:25, 3 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]

One? What about the Freedom (record label) srticle? Steelbeard1 (talk) 12:16, 4 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Can you show me any instance where the latter entity is referred to as "Freedom Records" (with a capital "R" and an "S" at the end)? Even if we count that as a second hit, WP:TWODABS applies; a disambiguation page is not necessary where the navigational function can be accomplished in a hatnote. bd2412 T 12:40, 4 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]
See this Billboard article from 1960 about Johnny Burnette at [1]. There was a short lived Freedom Records based in Houston which existed in the late 1940's and early 1950's at [2]. Steelbeard1 (talk) 16:39, 4 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Is this a notable entity, worthy of coverage in an encyclopedia? Is there evidence of the absence of a primary topic? There are for example more than a half dozen notable people named "George Washington", but this does not prevent an article from being located at George Washington. The jazz label seems to have been at this title for about eight years, and it seems to have produced records by a number of notable artists. Why would it not be the primary topic? bd2412 T 16:51, 4 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Add a Houston based label called Freedom Records (Houston based label). Steelbeard1 (talk) 17:07, 4 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]
