My impression was the foregut was synonymous with duodenum. It really starts with the mouth? From the components, seems it starts with the esophagus. Is foregut a term that originates with the embryo; if so, maybe explain here. JuanTamad (talk) 12:47, 30 March 2019 (UTC)[reply]
