Complaint
[edit]This page reads a little like an advert. Also, why is the word "lobby" or one of its derivatives not mentioned, even once? I'm not an experienced wiki editor, so I'm leaving it alone, but as I read it, this seems like a lobby organisation. If so, it should be openly said, and not clouded with marketing buzzwords.
Critique an article
[edit]I realized that the article is based on a one single source, so there might be lack of information and biases. Also certainly there is lack of perspective. Therefore the reliability of the page is limited. The source that the page uses, does not come from a peer reviewed article, scientific journal. I am not a Wikipedia expert but I feel like the page should use quotation marks when defining The Food Marketing Institute as the information given is not common knowledge. There aren't enough information given about the institute; when was it constituted? Who founded it? What are the signature events? Does the institute has any awards or other partners? if yes which awards and who are the partners? etc. There are so many buzzwords that do not really "buzz." However the page is easy to read and has limited but clear structure.

- @Foodmarketplaceinc: Initials and full name may be the firm's practice, but it seems not to be Wikipedia practice. And note the requester's username. Anthony Appleyard (talk) 22:12, 22 January 2020 (UTC)
- Oppose, requester, pick one. Also WP:DISCLOSE. Axem Titanium (talk) 21:26, 31 January 2020 (UTC)
