Mga010 (talk) 09:15, 23 February 2018 (UTC) I think the explanation is not accurate. For all I learned, FLEX temperature reduces the thrust to the amount that would be delivered at that temperature. E.g., the engine delivers less thrust at 40° than at 20° Celsius. So a FLEX of 40° yields that much thrust (around 90% of full thrust) when set at 20°. If you read the explanation in the last paragraph it says something different. At least it is not clear, because the computer is not "assuming" something. But I am not a jet rated pilot. Maybe someone with more knowledge can help here.
