Contested deletion

This page should not be speedy deleted as an unambiguous copyright infringement, because... the page I created was mix of multiple wikipedia pages. I intended to create a sepereate page for this instead of having it as a sub section under the flag of Germany. The information that you said was copyrighted was not from those websites but from my translation of http://de.wiki.x.io/wiki/Flagge_der_Deutschen_Demokratischen_Republik . --DeutscheJacob (talk) 11:23, 31 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Redirect in the way

{{Admin help}} I reviewed this draft and would like to accept it. However, there is a redirect in the way. This redirect points to a subsection of another article. Hey Happy Squirrel. Done. Be aware of the copyright issue I fixed by providing attribution through a dummy edit. This was unacceptable for a move to the mainspace until that was fixed. Rename Proposal

I propose that the page be renamed "Flag of the German Democratic Republic" with the current title redirecting to this page since "German Democratic Republic" is the correct name of the state. BaronVonchesto (talk) 14:26, 30 June 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Oppose - Per WP:COMMONNAME. East Germany is the common name of the country used in most English sources, and this page matches that. Wikipedia favors the common name, not the official name. - BilCat (talk) 14:36, 30 June 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Writing needs review - Translation errors leftovers

There are many instances of the article, specifically on the «History» section, where grammar mistakes are very evident. It seems to be translated very literally from German using machine translation with no post-editing done. --38.25.30.164 (talk) 01:09, 17 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]
