Mandatory Syrian RepublicFirst Syrian Republic – "Mandatory Syrian Republic" is not attested in literature. WP:COMMONNAME and WP:NOORIGINALRESEARCH. 92.184.96.5 (talk) 09:05, 20 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]

  • Agree Under Wiki policies listed. Additionally, the articles on Mandatory territories tend to use their official names as the articles titles -- the only articles that have mandatory in their names are those whose official names included them. See this list. ClaudeDavid (talk) 05:51, 25 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Requested move 17 January 2025

– Make naming consistent with examples like the French First Republic and French Second Republic, while also aligning with similar structures such as the Syrian Arab Republic. Ulmenholz (talk) 10:20, 17 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]

  • Oppose, remarkably I'm getting zero google hits for these (after removing mentions on Wikipedia). I'm not sure there is anything inherently suggesting there should be consistency with French historiography. CMD (talk) 11:54, 17 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]
