This article seems to be originally written as a self promo. I think there is small notabily for this group (because their reported violence in a finnish paper source). But because there isn't much more information about them, so this article should be made a article-section in the article of their parent organisation 'Swedish Resistance Movement'. --- Kyz2 (talk) 14:43, 6 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]

It is possible that the article has originally been just self-promotion, since most people saw the Finnish organization as a rather childish imitation of the Swedish Resistance Movement. Although the group seemed to be unimportant in the beginning, currently the organization is of high importance. The Finnish Resistance Movement has committed several acts of political violence and it is likely that they will only escalate the level of violence. I think that the group is currently important enough in itself.

However it might be a good idea to merge the article with the Swedish Resistance Movement, since it is obvious they are in some ways just a local branch of the Swedish parent organization. So I think that the Swedish and Finnish groups should be included in Wikipedia, but the articles could be merged. There is a Norwegian group as well, but I don't know if it is important in itself. It is likely that the Swedish organization is the one making the decisions.

I think that there has to be information about this group in English as well as in Finnish. First of all the organization is obviously targeting people who might not be able to read Finnish and therefore would not even know how dangerous they are. The second point is that they are obviously working together with Swedish and Italian groups, which means that we need international collaboration to avoid this terrorist threat. So a terrorist group like this is not a purely local affair, since it is both a threat to immigrants and visitors to Finland and collaborating on the international level with other groups. Also we have the rather funny case of their leader applying for asylum in the USA, which is currently only briefly covered in the Wikipedia article about the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement.

But it is quite hard to find good sources documenting the group in English, while we have a lot of information in Finnish. So I don't know if the references should be to sources in Finnish, since the material in English is mostly short news stories, and only some of the violent activities of the group are covered by the news organizations. I will carry out the merge as there is no substantial difference between the two articles other than the list of violent incidences. Swedish Resistance Movement also redirects to Nordic Resistance Movement as should this page. After all, country branches are exact copies of each other and there's no need to have individual articles as of now. If Finnish branch becomes more notable we can always go back.
