Cars
[edit]I propose that a Cars section be re-introduced. To avoid the appearance of an unnecessary list (and satisfy Falcon9x5), perhaps we could specify the more important cars such as those unique to this game and the years of Ferrari history covered by them.Mister Slimm (talk) 12:00, 25 June 2009 (UTC)
Tracks
[edit]I propose that it is appropriate for game page to refer to locations which have articles on Wikipedia such as the real-world circuits that game contains. Perhaps instead of framing them as a list, we could provide a better discussion of why the tracks included are included and which were unique to this game at the time of release. Perhaps something along the lines:
"The game features tracks from the 2008 Ferrari Challenge Championship season. Some of the tracks (Auto Club Speedway of Southern California, Autodromo Vallelunga, Circut Mont-Tremblant, and Virginia International Raceway) had never been featured in a video game before. Circuit Paul Ricard was making it's seventh generation console debut and had not been available in a game for many years. Due to licensing issues the Gilles Villeneuve circuit appeared under the pseudonym Redwood Park. The other tracks included are Autodromo Nazionale di Monza, Infineon Raceway, Misano World Circuit, Mugello Autodromo Internazionale, Silverstone Circuit and Spa-Francorchamps.
The Nurburgring GP Strecke circuit became available as DLC in May 2009."

- Surely, though, omitting the remaining tracks makes the article incomplete and simply stating the total number of tracks or that there are 'six other tracks' is pointlessly vague. A racing game is defined (in part) by it's track list and where the tracks have their own article on Wikipedia, I feel it is appropriate to provide links to them. Part of the strength of Wikipedia is that you can read an article then click on a link to read another article. With racing games, it would be interesting and, I feel, worthwhile and in keeping with Wikipedia guidelines, to click on a track that is in a game you enjoyed and learn more about that track. - While I think simply stating the number of tracks (while preferable to listing them all) is vague, overburdening the reader with information isn't a good thing either. For example, it'd be pointless to list all the Star Wars characters that appear in the Lego Star Wars games. I think some of the tracks should be noted (especially when there's something interesting about them, like the Gilles Villeneuve circuit), but there's no reason to list them all. - I think the unique tracks should be listed completely. With regard to the other tracks, I shall make a point that there are three Italian tracks including Monza and mention Silverstone and Spa-Francorchamps as famous historical tracks as they would be of interest.

Regional name for Nintendo DS version
[edit]The European version of the Nintendo DS port is subtitled: Ferrari Challenge: Trofeo Pirelli - European Series. Might be worth noting. Proof: filename, cover art, and menu text.
