POV Issues?
[edit]"Because Selig's family retained ownership of the Brewers, Vincent was the last truly impartial commissioner of baseball, since he held no ownership of a team himself."
This sentence seems to be POV to me. Anyone else have any thoughts? Jpers36 21:43, 15 July 2005 (UTC)
Editing Out the 1989 World Series Section
[edit]A while back, 198.189.198.2 removed the section concerning Fay Vincent's involvement in the Loma Prieta earthquake that hit during the 1989 World Series. I have since, restored that particular section. It absolutely makes no sense removing that particular section considering that it was arguably the most significant moment in Vincent's commissionership.TMC1982 27 April 2006
School Mates
[edit]Is it significant who Fay Vincent went to school with? Jons63 18:27, 10 September 2007 (UTC)
- With no response I removed
- Fay Vincent attended Yale University with William H. T. "Bucky" Bush, the brother of president George Herbert Walker Bush. Vincent would receive his law degree from Yale in 1963.
- It is not significant that he went to school with William H.T. Bush unless someone can show a direct connection between the two of them.
Jons63 13:58, 13 September 2007 (UTC)
Yes...it is significant. Fay Vincent and Bucky Bush were lifelong friends and spent a summer together in Midland/Odessa, TX roughnecking. Though the original author failed to explain this relationship's meaning, it was still significant. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 12.245.223.10 (talk) 22:45, 2 March 2019 (UTC)
Early career
