Homopolar generator?
[edit]This article conflicts with the article about Homopolar generators: That article says that Faraday wheels are homopolar generators, and that they use electric fields to generate the potential difference. Which article is more accurate? EricWesBrown (Talk) 22:29, 27 April 2011 (UTC) Nevermind, this article is self-contradicting. It says Faraday wheels don't use magnetic fields, then says that Faraday wheels were one of the first uses of a magnetic field to create current. — Preceding unsigned comment added by EricWesBrown (talk • contribs) 22:31, 27 April 2011 (UTC)
Name change?
[edit]The more common name for this device today is Faraday disc. This name received 24,000 hits on Google, as opposed to 1,800 for "Faraday wheel". --ChetvornoTALK 01:18, 30 January 2013 (UTC)
