Organization name, page title
[edit]The correct formal name of the committee is "The Committee on Fair Employment Practice" (COFEP); the correct common name is "The Fair Employment Practice Committee". That is, "committee", not "commission", and "practice", not "practices".
This is corroborated by the text of Executive Order 8802 (not 8820) as well as the literature; see for example the title of Merle Reed's book on the FEPC, which is the standard scholarly text on the subject.

Merge to Fair Employment Practice Committee page
[edit]This page could not be moved to the correct title because a page with that title (which redirected to the 'Executive Order 8802' page) already exists.
Rather than have that page deleted and this one moved, it was much easier to merge the content from here to the page with the correct title, and then redirect this page to that one. I have also stopped that page from redirecting to Exec Order 8802.
I will request that this page be deleted, as it only serves to cause confusion.
