Air pollution section needs update
[edit]The main reference does not load, it is old and does not reflect current air quality statistics for the region. Check for example https://www.usnews.com/news/best-states/new-york
Untitled
[edit]"While New York City has a larger population than all but eleven states, if it were granted statehood it would rank 51st in per-capita energy use." Anyone see anything wrong with this sentence, very misleading. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.44.73.164 (talk) 19:56, 5 June 2008 (UTC)
Image copyright problem with Image:Ecotower.jpg
[edit]The image Image:Ecotower.jpg is used in this article under a claim of fair use, but it does not have an adequate explanation for why it meets the requirements for such images when used here. In particular, for each page the image is used on, it must have an explanation linking to that page which explains why it needs to be used on that page. Please check
- That there is a non-free use rationale on the image's description page for the use in this article.
- That this article is linked to from the image description page.

Additional toxic sites:
[edit]I read an article in today's Metro [1] that listed six toxic sites. This article only deals with the Greenpoint spill.
- ConEd site at 115th and FDR, site of former manufactured gas plant
- Hunts Point, bio-disposal sites
- Under the Bayonne Bridge, a ship spilled raw uranium ore in 1939
- Newtown Creek
- Meeker Avenue Plume
- Gowanus Canal
I'll also add one more to the list: Hudson river PCB dregding. See Hudson River#Pollution. --ChrisRuvolo (t) 18:48, 18 March 2010 (UTC)

Serious problems with citations in chapter "Energy Efficiency"
[edit]Pretty much none of the citations links to an existing site. Could someone please update the citations? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 5.1.129.32 (talk) 10:47, 29 October 2013 (UTC)

Rewording section heading
[edit]Population density in New York City should be changed to Population impact in New York City as this reflects the content more accurately.
This section talks about transportation emissions, GHG emissions, air quality, electrical consumption. All of which are population impacts. I will wait a few days for discussion before changing it TheKevlar 19:45, 8 July 2021 (UTC) — Preceding unsigned comment added by Mkevlar (talk • contribs)

- Hello, i made a small edit on the policies section. Some of the facts or statement written in there i felt needed supporting articles. I added 2 cited work that discuss the world GDP compared to United state and NYC. Gcuties (talk) 16:10, 11 October 2022 (UTC)
