He did receive PhD degree from Moscow State University, under supervision of Prof. Israel Gelfand. This can be checked from Math Genealogy project.

Certainly not! Under the Soviet system, degrees were not awarded by universities, check here. Kope (talk) 06:55, 15 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Perfect squares result

I have removed mention of the result on perfect squares with Khalfalah and Lodha.
