Reply
[edit]He did receive PhD degree from Moscow State University, under supervision of Prof. Israel Gelfand. This can be checked from Math Genealogy project.
- Certainly not! Under the Soviet system, degrees were not awarded by universities, check here. Kope (talk) 06:55, 15 October 2009 (UTC)
Perfect squares result
[edit]I have removed mention of the result on perfect squares with Khalfalah and Lodha. This result is not of comparable importance to the others mentioned in the same paragraph - the Szemerédi-Trotter theorem, the Ramsey number of and the Hajnal-Szemerédi theorem. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Busy365 (talk • contribs) 16:07, 6 April 2011 (UTC)
- It is not clear how Busy365 ascertains whether a theorem is important. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 92.27.11.202 (talk) 15:10, 1 April 2012 (UTC)
