True Identity
[edit]Aren't there any details about her real name? הראש (talk) 15:12, 9 June 2018 (UTC)
- I second the motion! With most celebrities, especially actors, their Wikipedia article's 1st sentence mentions birth name in parentheses or *at least* in the first sentence of a section (sub-section?) called, "Personal Life." Such sections usually list birth name, city, parent details, etc. {IMHO, if you're famous you don't "get to keep your anonymity." Very difficult btw fyi to find info online about Elohim's real name. -Peter aka Vid2vid (talk) 22:32, 10 July 2019 (UTC)
Why does that matter?? Enjoy her music and her massage. Their personal lives are none of anyone’s business. Sleepyeyeezz (talk) 00:13, 11 February 2020 (UTC)
To be entirely fair, I feel like if you're writing a Wiki article about a musician, their personal lives kinda are our business... lol Manhattia (talk) 03:36, 22 March 2021 (UTC)
With this mentioned, Elohim does seem to be incredibly keen on keeping her anonymity, and thus finding a referencable source on this would be rather difficult, bordering probably on an encroachment into her privacy. Manhattia (talk) 03:38, 22 March 2021 (UTC)
Edit war
[edit]Time to discuss the above issue; are the references given by the IP reliable? Do they actually verify what they say they do? Are there any other sources that can corroborate? Primefac (talk) 11:06, 12 February 2020 (UTC)
- The personnel listing on her self-titled album has Codi Caraco listed for every track.
- AllMusic also has her credited as the vocalist.
- It's usually Codi Caraco = vocals, Elohim = composer but Elohim is one person.
- There are more sources tho.
- Pandora and Shazam have Codi Caraco listed as the vocalist
- PoxKelly (talk) 15:29, 12 February 2020 (UTC)
- Wouldn't having someone else listed as the vocalist imply that they're not the same person? Elohim may be one person but that doesn't mean she can't ask other people to perform on her albums. Primefac (talk) 15:49, 12 February 2020 (UTC)
- On a surface level yes but then you take into account even songs she's featured on has Codi Caraco listed as the vocalist.
- Honestly just looking at the two you can tell they are the same person, one's just a stage name. PoxKelly (talk) 19:01, 12 February 2020 (UTC)
- That's called original research and it's not acceptable for controversial information. Primefac (talk) 19:17, 12 February 2020 (UTC)

- Within your context Elohim isn't the vocalist, Codi is. So then shouldn't she be credited for her work?
- Also what sources would be needed as her real name really isn't that much a secret but apparently it can't be put here on Wikipedia PoxKelly (talk) 00:37, 13 February 2020 (UTC)
- Who is to say that Codi isn't being credited? You've already provided evidence that she's receiving credits on the albums.
- You also say it
isn't that much a secret
but I cannot find any articles that say "Elohim, the stage name of XYZ..." Granted, that could be because of my location affecting any Google searches I perform, but I'm still not seeing anything. Primefac (talk) 10:53, 13 February 2020 (UTC)

- Such a article was cited but removed, 2 articles actually. One from 2017 one from 2020. I'm not sure what your location is but the 2nd result when searching "Codi Caraco Elohim" has that info. (Not sure if my previous message sent as it didn't update here) PoxKelly (talk) 22:38, 13 February 2020 (UTC)
- The artist herself discredited that article naming Codi as Elohim. The other articles you referenced one was from an event website that doesn’t even communicate with the artist nor her management team.
- If the artist prefers to stay anonymous and clearly doesn’t tell people who she is then why would you even press it. If you think Codi is Elohim then believe it, don’t disrespect the artist. She has helped a ton of people with mental illness and doesn’t deserve the stress of a content war on wiki. Leave the poor girl alone. Sleepyeyeezz (talk) 13:35, 17 February 2020 (UTC)
- When/where has she discredited the article? PoxKelly (talk) 17:29, 18 February 2020 (UTC)
- Talk to the artist personally. She’s discredited it multiple times on Facebook and instagrams lives as well.
- If you go through her instagram you’ll see the journey she has made and overcome. She started out covering her face with a mask and using a computer to talk for her, then slowly started showing her face and using her voice.
- She hid for this exact reason.
- Do you have any direct sources or whatever? Where she discredits this? Because there are numerous signs pointing to yes.
- I personally do not see how this would hurt her as it'd give fans a chance to know more about her + discover her beginnings. PoxKelly (talk) 05:27, 20 February 2020 (UTC)
things to add
[edit]This article seems to be rather barebones currently, especially given Elohim's relative rise in prominence as of late. Some things to add might include her Coachella performanceManhattia (talk) 03:41, 22 March 2021 (UTC)
More about the name
[edit]While no other personal information about how to call her, Elohim The Musician, as in ID and without the pseudonym, then some aliases might be adopted, such as: "SWIKAG—Singer Who Is Known As God", or "Lady Elo" etc
