Spurious portraits

[edit]

Rather than yet again removing the two spurious portraits (one of her daughter, one of someone else entirely), I have left them in the article with explanatory captions. They are so commonly misidentified as Lady Conyngham that it is inevitable that someone will upload another copy to Commons with the wrong identification, and copy them to this article, perhaps substituting them (reasoning that they are "better" because they are in color?) for the genuine 1801 portrait, which is unfortunately only available in black and white.

I have also restored the 1801 Sir Thomas Lawrence full-length portrait at the top of the article. Please do not replace it again unless a high-res color version of it becomes available. Laura1822 (talk) 16:36, 2 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]
