Duplicate categorization

[edit]

She is in both the photographers from the Russian Empire and 19th-century photographers from the Russian Empire. I think the later is unneeded and we should only have one category. The 19th century cat is small, and it makes no sense to separate thos way.John Pack Lambert (talk) 03:47, 1 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]

The 19th-century category is a proper subcategory of the photographers from the Russian Empire category. If you feel it is not needed you should restore all the articles you have removed from it and then visit WP:CFD. If you empty first, then visit CFD, you are out of process and likely to get in trouble for it. —David Eppstein (talk) 03:54, 1 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Family story of Elena Mrozovskaya

[edit]

Dear @David Eppstein, please note, that most of popular sources was based on legendary information. The most sourced biography of Mrozovskaya is contained in the article: Avetyan (2007) (added by me in the "Further reading" section). If you want, I can send you an electronic version (in Russian). If you want to modify the article based on higher-quality sources, then base your modifications on those higher-quality sources, don't just rip other stuff out without explanation. If popular sources give an incorrect family history, then the article should say that popular sources give an incorrect family history, and justify that by a source documenting that the popular family history is wrong. —David Eppstein (talk) 18:08, 6 February 2025 (UTC)[reply]

It would be wise not to use the source "Chuilon, Jacques (2009)", as containing in principle erroneous information (Mrozovskaya's husband is named as her brother, which is impossible, and then his possible uncle becomes her uncle). All of the useful information from this source is in other sources from the article as well. Kaganer (talk) 19:02, 6 February 2025 (UTC)[reply]
