Alex Ebert from Indie/Rock band Ima Robot side project band Edward Sharpe And the Magnetic Zeros releasing first album in the spring and starting a west coast tour.
- This needs to be made into its own article rather than redirecting. Their album is out now and they are on tour. The Song "Home" off of their album was featured on NPR. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 216.255.212.18 (talk) 05:39, 15 July 2009 (UTC)
Australian Triple J is the Largest Music Poll in the world?
[edit]Is that supposed to be some sort of joke? The cite on that line just confirms that home was number 15 in 2010. Would someone kindly delete that part?
Alex Ebert's personality
[edit]I just heard them play on a local radio station and was very turned off by Ebert's snide too-hip-for-thou attitude. Anyone know any published criticisms of his attitude that can be included in a criticism section?67.79.10.114 (talk) 20:40, 16 November 2009 (UTC)
This line is made up, right?
[edit]"he left, he has said, to live in a more honest reaction to the truth of the moment, not be bound to certain behaviors by fear-based dogma."
Nobody actually talks like that, right? It's not contained in the reference that follows, so the Wikipedia author just made that up, no? Greg Salter (talk) 07:28, 1 February 2011 (UTC)
- I went ahead and removed it. The only quotes I could find on the internet are where people are quoting this Wikipedia article, thereby creating a circular reference. Deleting, unless anyone can provide an original reference to this ridiculous statement. Greg Salter (talk) 13:02, 15 March 2011 (UTC)
grammer, syntax, etc
[edit]I've done some work on the grammar and syntax of the article. Assuming my understanding of copy-editing is correct, I think I have contributed to the improvement of the article on those grounds. So, I was wondering if the copy-editing template is still appropriate.
- The first sentence of the article is still horribly written and worded "Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros is an American band led by Alex Ebert, vocalist of the power pop group Ima Robot." So yes it's apperent that we still need the tag. Ridernyc (talk) 23:00, 22 May 2012 (UTC)
Irrational hatred of Jade Castrinos
[edit]I don't understand why Wikipedia has such an irrational hatred of her. Or is it fear? What do you people have against her? Why do you people keep deleting the page about her? She's a good person. She doesn't deserve what you are doing to her. Please stop. It's sad to see this sort of thing happen. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 63.228.116.228 (talk) 23:33, 17 August 2013 (UTC)

Jade
[edit]Is there any particular reason this page makes almost zero mention of Jade or her departure? She was one of the two lead vocalists and their split was fairly public. I do not see any discussion on this. Unless I hear otherwise, I will add it to the History section. Sevey13 (talk) 23:17, 10 February 2017 (UTC)
- Probably a lack of reliable sources. I changed the article to indicate that she didn't simply leave, she was asked to leave. With source, PasteMagazine article. -- 109.76.155.74 (talk) 00:15, 18 January 2020 (UTC)
The link attached to her name in the "Past Members" section redirect back to this article. Johnnyboy755 (talk) 09:17, 7 March 2018 (UTC)
- Her page never had any content and is a redirect to this article. Someone probably linked to the article because they could, without checking if they should. -- 109.76.155.74 (talk) 00:15, 18 January 2020 (UTC)
Dead Link Not So Dead
[edit]The reference noted 7 in this article, about where Alexander met Jade, is classified as a dead link. The tag notes that a recovery from Internet Archive was attempted, with no luck. But I was able to retrieve it here. It isn't from the original publishing date of 2009, but it's the same source, archived in 2011. I'd rather not edit the reference myself, not my forte. But I'd recommend someone with more prowess to do it. It is still a viable source. Drcatherwood (talk) 16:06, 3 August 2022 (UTC)
