EarthScope page
[edit]Just an FYI, this page was done with the help of three other people. I just happen to be the one posting our compiled information. More updates coming soon! --pokasd (talk) 06:48, 7 December 2008 (UTC)
GA Review
[edit]- This review is transcluded from Talk:Earthscope/GA1. The edit link for this section can be used to add comments to the review.
This article does not meet the good article criteria and has too many issues. It has therefore failed its nomination. Issues include but are not limited to:
- Absolutely zero inline citations per WP:FN
Once these issues have been resolved, feel free to renominate the article. Thanks! Gary King (talk) 02:57, 16 December 2008 (UTC)
Assessment
[edit]I assessed this article as C-class in WikiProject Geology. The information and organization are very good - however, as in the GA assessment, the lack of inline citations is killer. With adequate inline citations, this article should be able to become a Good Article. The following three suggestions are listed in my perceived order of importance.
- Add a large number of inline citations, and probably from additional external sources. If you need a hand figuring out how to do this, I could help with citation templates and soforth.
- Add additional internal links to other wikipedia articles.
- More figures, especially those related to North American geology and geophysical imaging, or the EarthScope project in particular, could help.
- Additions to the text are always good, especially if you have these planned. But this is the article's area of strength, not weakness.
- Change name to be EarthScope, instead of Earthscope. (Added ~10 minutes after other comments)
Overall, thanks for all your work - it was a fun read, and I learned more about the EarthScoope program! Awickert (talk) 17:31, 19 December 2008 (UTC)

Also, if anyone ever wants to follow up on the GA assessment, inline citations are made by using <ref>...</ref> tags around each reference and then including {{reflist}} in the references section at the end. Arc de Ciel (talk) 07:38, 29 June 2013 (UTC)
