Article size

With edit http://en.wiki.x.io/w/index.php?title=EPrivacy_Regulation_(European_Union)&diff=818473896&oldid=818145970, referring to Wikipedia:Article size, the article was flagged as being too long. There was no explanation given in how far it is supposed to be too long. The referred-to page has a guideline, which says that below 40 000 characters, there is no need to somehow reduce article size just because of the size. Level of detail

With edit http://en.wiki.x.io/w/index.php?title=EPrivacy_Regulation_(European_Union)&diff=818473896&oldid=818145970, referring to Wikipedia:What_Wikipedia_is_not#Wikipedia_is_not_an_indiscriminate_collection_of_information, the article was flagged as being too detailed ("may contain an excessive amount of intricate detail that may only interest a specific audience"). There was no explanation given which details are supposed to be inappropriate. The article describes a EU-wide legislation proposal that can have far-reaching consequences for everyone using the internet. The content of the proposed legislation is of general interest, beyond a mere few sentences. Considering that the proposed regulation with amendments is over 200 pages long, the two pages that the article currently consists of are too little, not too much. Up-to-date status

The information in this article is misleading, it gives the impression that the regulation has already been approved and it is really slated to come into force on May 25 2018.
From what I was able to glean though it is instead still very up in the air., with changes still being made and discussed and no vote from any body.
The European Parliament's Legislative train details it status as of 20 March 2018, and it recognizes that "the proposed date of 25 May 2018 for the entry into force of the new regulation seems difficult to achieve".
And I hope they're not even trying, you can't allow only 2 months from approval to entry into force for a thing like this!

I'm not familiar with the regulation enough to update the article, though.
