Fixes needed

[edit]

This article needs a few rounds. It has tons of grammatical errors, and very undetailed information. 2A01:79A:19:F003:9CD7:445:5F11:2F98 (talk) 19:55, 16 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Russian airstrikes

[edit]

Is there some evidence that is a Russian strike? 77.152.195.3 (talk) 12:37, 17 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]

2022 - March 16, the theater was largely destroyed by airstrikes during the 2022 Russian invasion of Ukraine. Hundreds of civilians were apparently sheltering in the building at the time.[3][4] Satellite imagery taken prior to the airstrikes showed the word "Дети" ("kids" in Russian) painted on the ground at the front and rear of the building, apparently an attempt to warn Russian jets away.
1. There is no evidence of an airstrike.
2. Satellite images showing the inscriptions "Дети" are obviously made precisely in order to support the version (I emphasize, it is the version, since see p.1) of the "airstrike".

The above statement runs against what the reliable sources used in the article say, and no sources are provided to support the speculation. Richard Nevell (talk) 22:33, 18 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]
the specified "reliable" source does not provide evidence of the alleged, in which case the information must at least be designated as "assumed" and give different versions of these events. Knstm (talk) 14:54, 19 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Why was information removed?

[edit]

This article used to have sections about the theatre’s festivals, actors and Répertoire. This has recently been removed, why? It was important and interesting information that should not get lost. 2A01:79A:19:F003:B9A5:1E3:34AB:39BA (talk) 19:43, 18 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]

It was unsourced. Jim Michael (talk) 18:59, 19 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Theatre was not that damaged

[edit]

A new photo has emerged of the theatre, it looks as though it was not that damaged as initally thought. The description largely destroyed may therefore not be accurate. Theater (AmE) or Theatre (BrE)

[edit]

That is my urgent question for help how to write that? Or just we need to search the Web and try to find what was more frequently used form? On the New York Times I saw of course AmE form Theater while BBC called BrE Theatre. Is there a practice on Wikipedia among Ukrainian related articles how write that: in AmE or BrE? 3 December 2022 edit request

[edit]

Remove "On March 17, Dario Franceschini, Italian Minister of Culture informed on his Twitter page that the Cabinet of Ministers of Italy had approved his proposal to offer Ukraine the resources and means to rebuild the theatre as soon as possible." from Donetsk_Academic_Regional_Drama_Theater#History. This level of detail is WP:TOOMUCH and belongs to Mariupol theatre airstrike (if at all). 140.228.58.18 (talk) 19:50, 3 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Not done: please provide reliable sources that support the change you want to be made. RealAspects (talk) 10:13, 14 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]
