Notability
[edit]Keyhoe is commonly cited by other authors and by groups such as CSICOP ([[1]], this level of recognition within the comunity should be sufficient to maintain his placement in Wikipedia as he is notable within his field even if he is not especially notable outside of it.

- Keyhoe is certainly one of a handful of better-known names in early UFO books, frequently quoted in articles of that era. A Google search on his name today shows >34,000 instances ... Twang 11:13, 17 November 2006 (UTC)
I would have to agree with the above statements...if Wikipedia is going to include articles on the UFO phenomenon, then articles on prominent "ufologists" should be included as well. Keyhoe is easily one of the most prominent figures in early American UFO history; if nothing else, his advocacy of the notion that the US government was "covering up" UFO evidence has given rise to numerous conspiracy theories in popular American culture (such as the "X-Files" TV series demonstrated) and makes him notable enough to mention.
Keyhoe, in my view, certainly qualifies as notable due to his prominence among UFO researchers.--Redeagle688 04:02, 25 December 2006 (UTC)
- the Mike Wallace interview is on YT in 3 parts, and it is disturbing how calm and collected this man is as he described what has been reported, what evidence has been collected, and how many high up people were aware of and vouched for the truth of this evidence. It's too bad Mike Wallace let him talk then switched the subject each time instead of probing further. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mtBrUVBehvQ 199.214.17.23 (talk) —Preceding undated comment added 23:24, 21 June 2010 (UTC).
