Richard Leacock
[edit]The Richard Leacock who played Nate Jackson is not the same Richard Leacock that Wikipedia lists. (Coincidentally, though, they were both born in London and grew up in the Caribbean--IF the IMDB profile is correct.
I wasn't sure how to separate them, so I changed the wiki link to "Richard Leacock (Canadian Actor)." Please feel free to modify it--I'm not sure what WP's official way of denoting a second individual by the same name is.

The "Other" Doc
[edit]In the '70's or very early '80's was a tv show named Doc. Barnard Hughes, one of my favorite actors, played the lead role.
Doc/Hannah Montana
[edit]Any chance that Doc will be starting up again likely has ended with the success of Hannah Montana.
Major Cleanup Needed
[edit]There are several things in this article that I strongly feel should be taken care of.
Problem 1. The Cast section needs attention. There are several minor characters missing (i.e. Irene Hart and Justin), and all of that red lettering makes the article look disorganized.
2. Raul is NOT an orphan. His MOTHER has died (not both of his parents), and his dad is abusive (which means he can no longer care for Raul as his own). Raul's an adopted kid, nothing more, nothing less.
3. The main section of the article is poorly written. There's missing and superflous material, bad grammar, and the thoughts are all out of order. I don't even think I saw the name Westbury Clinic!
I propose to redo the cast section by taking away the red lettering (and not making the actors a link) and adding individual blurbs about the characters, i.e. "Dr. Clint "Doc" Cassidy-(Billy Ray Cyrus)-a kindhearted doctor from Montana who has moved to New York to work at Westbury Clinic, a medical centre adjacent to the local hospital. Clint has a love for God and for people, making him a popular doctor at the clinic. He often likes to insert little bits of wisdom from Montana into the clinic team's activity.
I'm also hoping I could redo the main section, and organize everything up. That way, the article will be a lot more healthy and enjoyable for all who read it.

- I agree with most of this. However, one problem this article has had is people linking the actors to other people of the same name who are not the same person. The red links prevent this. Also, I just looked up "orphan" in a dictionary. It does apply to Raul. --Steven Fisher 16:26, 9 November 2006 (UTC)
- Pardon me :(, but is permission granted?Ohyeh 18:02, 9 November 2006 (UTC)
- Hey, you don't need my permission. Go ahead and try to improve the article. I'm just disagreeing with two of the suggested improvements. To be really specific: I think Raul should remain an orphan. Aside from one episode where his father briefly returned (and then abandoned him), it's what he was always characterized as on the show. Also, I think the red links on actors should remain since otherwise people trying to be helpful link them to the wrong people. I'm also wondering if the actor names should be removed from the plot summary; given the cast section, all it really does is complicate the structure. I'm also pretty unhappy with the Plot Summary section as it stands now, so if you think that should be rewritten I totally agree. Although it's been improved quite a bit since I slapped some cleanup tags on it, it still seems much too colloquial for an encyclopedia. --Steven Fisher 19:02, 9 November 2006 (UTC)
Doc, Clint or Cassidy?
[edit]The article is currently inconsistent about what name to use for Doc in subsequent references. This needs to be hashed out and permanently decided. Any thoughts? --Steven Fisher 20:05, 23 November 2006 (UTC)
Characters mistake
[edit]Can the supporting characters that are listed in the plot summary instead be in the characters section? Also, Irene hart and Justin should be added as characters If not done already 174.240.253.252 (talk) 15:20, 4 August 2022 (UTC)
