Should also mention multiple myeloma as per obituary. 65.88.88.200 (talk) 17:04, 18 October 2021 (UTC)
- His multiple myeloma appears to have been a condition he had when he contracted coronavirus and not the actual cause of death. 'Twas COVID got him before the myeloma, I fear. Ref (chew)(do) 20:17, 18 October 2021 (UTC)
- Per the source, his cancer compromised his immune system, thus reducing the effectiveness of the COVID vaccination he had received and allowing the virus to do its work. Wyliepedia @ 02:26, 19 October 2021 (UTC)
There's nothing controversial about including the above "person of interest" in the list for October 2021. Because his entry has been qualified by the postfix "(death announced on this date)", and the actual date or month of death may never be known, it should stay in this month's list - IF it qualifies for the one month test for notability (i.e. becomes a properly informed biography rather than a scant redirect). Ref (chew)(do) 06:48, 23 October 2021 (UTC)
- Agreed I have no idea why it was removed. The edit summary said his death happened ages ago however without knowing the exact cause of death, that is why adding (death announced on this date) or (body discovered on this date) would be added next to Laundrie's entry. --TDKR Chicago 101 (talk) 07:44, 23 October 2021 (UTC)
He's gone again, this is getting annoying. Rusted AutoParts 21:29, 23 October 2021 (UTC)
- Same editor, and he's just gone 3RR so it won't go on much longer. Ref (chew)(do) 23:05, 23 October 2021 (UTC)
- The editor exceeded 3RR today in making the same edit yet again. I've restored it this time, but have to watch the revert rule myself. Ref (chew)(do) 19:34, 27 October 2021 (UTC)
- 3RR must occur within a 24-hour period. Basically, the clock resets after 24 hours. WWGB (talk) 23:42, 27 October 2021 (UTC)

Do we take Laundrie out when a month goes by? Just doubling checking as I don’t wish to potentially reinflame this topic if I did. Rusted AutoParts 18:57, 28 October 2021 (UTC)
- In my opinion, yes he goes. He does not satisfy any of our requirements: no article about him, no article about his death (but Gabby Petito remains), and not a member of a famous group (like an Everly brother). WWGB (talk) 03:39, 29 October 2021 (UTC)
- On the assumption that nothing with sufficient bio is created in the meantime, of course. Ref (chew)(do) 08:57, 29 October 2021 (UTC)
Julie L. Green (October 12)
[edit]Hello. According to The NYT, Green didn't die of ovarian cancer but from an assisted suicide (Oregon’s Death With Dignity Act). Regards, Xavier 90.6.163.132 (talk) 21:50, 5 November 2021 (UTC)
- The NYT is currently the only source which claims assisted suicide - on that basis I won't be making the change personally. Ref (chew)(do) 23:51, 5 November 2021 (UTC)
- An older and reliable source which claims the same COD: The Washington Post. Regards, Xavier 90.6.163.132 (talk) 08:48, 6 November 2021 (UTC)
- Some (several?) obituaries indicate Green preferred they/them pronouns. WAPO says they, NYT says she, ok I replace with Green. But please don't alter my text. Regards, Xavier 90.6.163.132 (talk) 13:50, 6 November 2021 (UTC)
- Who alter what text? I've altered nothing in this Talk section, thanks very much, just added to the conversation. Please identify/link the exact edit where the alteration occurred here. Ref (chew)(do) 14:07, 6 November 2021 (UTC)

- Sorry, my remark was addressed to WWGB for this diff. Sorry again. Regards, Xavier 90.6.163.132 (talk) 18:02, 6 November 2021 (UTC)
- Okay, that's clear enough. Thanks. Ref (chew)(do) 18:56, 8 November 2021 (UTC)

Why did you reject my contribution to the Japanese Actress Saori Sugimoto who died in the October 21 Death page?
[edit]To the Wikipedia staff, Earlier I did contribute the Japanese Actress Saori Sugimoto (1966–2021) who voiced Ramurin Makiba and later on as Nikki in the Japanese kids Anime TV show Shimajiro.
Can I ask you to allow me to bring Saori Sugimoto name back in the October 2021 death page please? This is very important to me and those people in Japan who are big fans of Shimajiro.
By the way in case you didn't know, here are the article links proving that this is legitimate and I always do careful research before I do any posting or contribution on wikipedia. [1] [2] [3]
Please return Saori Sugimoto back in the October 2021 death page. She is very important to me and Please help me build up her profile wikipedia page. CrosswalkX (talk) 14:01, 23 November 2021 (UTC)
- Done. WWGB (talk) 03:50, 24 November 2021 (UTC)
Thank you very much. I appreciate you accepting Saori Sugimoto in the October 2021 death page. May she rest in peace. CrosswalkX (talk) 05:06, 25 November 2021 (UTC)
Initial letters for names
[edit]With G. S. Bali (Oct 30 2021), what is the MOS page for deciding to use G. S. rather than his full name, Gurmukh Singh? Darcourse (talk) 04:55, 30 October 2021 (UTC)
- In these lists, we always use the article title (minus any disambiguators). So G. S. Bali it is. WWGB (talk) 05:03, 30 October 2021 (UTC)
- And Indian society very often uses initials for notable people as a deep sign of respect. We follow that convention also. Ref (chew)(do) 06:32, 30 October 2021 (UTC)
Hello all, about the date of death of Jack Angel, an obituary published in the Los Angeles Times from December 2 to December 5, 2021 and put on legacy.com say he died October 18, 2021 -> [4] and not October 19, 2021. And at the end of the obituary it cite his own website that tells also he died on October 18 -> [5]. That website is also in the infobox on his wikipedia page. Also I don't think the sources that say he died on October 19 are very reliable (animenetwork, IMDB...) or did not tell specifically he died on October 19. I would like to know what are your advice, please. October 18 or 19 ? Thank you. --Danielvis08 (talk) 13:14, 4 December 2021 (UTC)
- Based on LA Times and his own website (probably uploaded by close family), I would definitely go with October 18. Regards, WWGB (talk) 13:42, 4 December 2021 (UTC)
