Contested deletion
[edit]This article should not be speedily deleted for lack of asserted importance because the subject has made some very important contributions to the UK and international computing scene - see "Known For" --TedColes (talk) 18:36, 5 January 2014 (UTC)
I concur. I'd not heard of Dr Hartley, but on reading this page I'd suggest that merely "Joint author of CPL ... which influenced BCPL, C, and C++" would be reason enough to retain it. 86.141.196.130 (talk) 23:24, 5 January 2014 (UTC)
