No affiliation with Search Engine Post

[edit]

This page highlights that Danny is associated with a site called Search Engine Post, but doesn't state how he's associated. The reference links to an archived version of the site which lists Danny as an "Ideal Guest Post Writer" – "ideal" being the keyword there – one of many in a long list of search engine and SEO experts, CEOs and Founders. At the bottom of the page is the actual "Author" of the site, a young man based in India. Danny lists a number of sites on his LinkedIn that he's written columns for, including CNET, but does not list this site. Unless evidence can be found for this, I'd suggest it be removed. I have gone ahead and removed this. Chris4uk (talk) 02:09, 2 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Search Engine Land

[edit]

I think Search Engine Land deserves its own article separate from Danny Sullivan. Unless my facts are wrong, he has had no association with them since 2017, when he joined Google. I added in info on the Semrush acquisition of SEL because it had to go somewhere. At the very least, it might make sense for SEL to be covered on the Semrush article and for SEL to redirect to that, instead of this page. Dflovett (talk) 01:56, 8 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Yes, that makes sense. SEL should be covered as a subsidiary or sub-brand of Semrush. Jehochman Talk 04:19, 8 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks, I'm going to first expand the section on the Semrush page and then ultimately I'll update the redirect. Right now, it's just a one sentence mention on the Semrush page. I think some industry reaction to the acquisition could be appropriate too. Dflovett (talk) 09:44, 9 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]
