Oppose. It should be (and is) a very, very high bar for a fictional character to take primary topic status when there is a real person by that name. Harry Potter is a rare exception. This is not. Having a different name is a really poor argument, as the politician's name clearly was Daniel Granger. Having initials in the middle does not make it a different name. That's not how disambiguation pages work. -- Necrothesp (talk) 14:45, 19 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]
I think the page views and Google search results (which detail either the character or a real life hairdresser) make this character the clear primary topic over the politician. – Meena • 15:39, 19 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]
If needed, a "not to be confused with..." sentence can be used. I disagree with them not being different names - if they had the same name, the page for the politician would be simply "Daniel Granger", but it is not. Also, the character is demonstrated to be the primary topic over the latter. DaniloDaysOfOurLives (talk) 16:23, 19 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]
So,, if that's the case I'm sure you can explain to me why John Kennedy redirects to John F. Kennedy. Following your logic, John Kennedy wasn't his name! He was never called John Kennedy; he was always called John F. Kennedy or Jack Kennedy. But as I said, that's not how naming works on Wikipedia. -- Necrothesp (talk) 09:32, 20 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]
