New lead image
[edit]The current image is a drawing and was published by the British, which means that it is likely an inaccurate representation of Dabulamanzi KaMpande. I believe we should change the lead image to this. It’s a photograph, which fits with other Zulu commanders of the age. Thoughts? The Image Editor (talk) 01:21, 16 November 2020 (UTC)
- I wholeheartedly agree. There are many examples of this done on Wikipedia and I think should be avoided as far as is possible. It is problematic in several ways: that the image is inaccurate as you said, but also that these images are propaganda produced by an enemy, which is not exactly NPOV either. Did not die in South Africa
[edit]when he died it was not in South Africa. It is just wrong to say it was. This is the ultimate in treating as natural boundaries randomly imposed by imperialism. It is a very bad idea.John Pack Lambert (talk) 01:06, 16 December 2023 (UTC)
- He died in the region that is now in south africa. Mason (talk) 02:39, 16 December 2023 (UTC)
