Conversion to VM
[edit]My father is a holder of the Virtuti Militari and the Cross of Valour 4 times. Someone told me that upon the receipt of CV 3 times, an individual had the right to convert the award into a Virtuti Miitari. Is this true? Does anyone know? thanks --Vumba 17:03, 8 June 2006 (UTC)
- Never heard of it. It often happened that instead of the fifth CV, the person was awarded with VM. However, I doubt the medals were interchangeable, this would be fairly unique case in the world. (Hey, I got one VM, could I swap it for, say, three CVs and one Cross of Merit?) Will ask my friends though. //Halibutt 17:42, 8 June 2006 (UTC)
Thanks for finding out. More curious on my part than anything else. --Vumba 18:58, 8 June 2006 (UTC)
